A while back I did a huge haul from the Innisfree World website. One of the items I was most excited to try out was the Green Tea Seed Serum Special set. I’ve heard great things about the Innisfree green tea line so wanted to see if it lived up to the hype!
If you are not familiar with Innisfree it’s a great company that has a dedication to green and natural ingredients and packaging. They derive a lot of ingredients from Jeju Island, a South Korean island.
Green Tea Lines. There are a lot of a green tea products available from Innisfree but they are broken down into different lines based upon level of skin moisture care.
Fresh Line – for oily skin
Balancing Line – for combination skin
Moisture Line – for dry skin
Green Tea Seed line – for special moisturizing and nourishing care.
All products are 5-free which means free of parabens, synthetic colorants, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients and imdazolidinyl urea.
The Set. I like little sets like these so I can try out new to me products before I commit to buying a full size product. This set was pricey at $26 but the products are good sized.
Included in the set are:
Green Tea Seed Serum 80ml
Green Tea Balancing Toner 70ml
Green Tea Balancing Lotion 70ml
Innisfree recommends that you use the green tea seed serum right after cleansing. I didn’t do that as I always use toner first! I’ve been using these products every morning for several weeks now.
Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin
First things first, holy crap this smells good! It smells like fresh green tea. Seriously though it smells like it was just freshly cut! I love it. Along with the smell, this works nicely in hydrating my skin for the first step of my moisturizing routine. The consistency is thicker than water and a bit of a gel consistency. It does absorb quickly which is important to me. However, my personal preference for toners is to have a consistency closer to water so I probably won’t repurchase because of that. But if you like a bit thicker toner, I would highly recommend this one.
Green Tea Seed Serum. This has the same great green tea smell. This is made with green tea and green tea seed oil. I actually use this as the 4th moisturizing product in my morning routine. So I go toner, booster, essence, serum but you should experiment to find out what works best for you. This product has a consistency thicker than the toner. It looks and feels kinda like…spit.lol. Despite that I am in love with this serum. It’s very moisturizing without being too thick. It helps keep my skin moisturized and protected all day. Unlike some other serums I’ve tried, this is not sticky at all and absorbs into my skin immediately. You don’t need a lot either just a squirt or two works for my whole face. I will definitely repurchase this.
Green Tea Balancing Lotion. Same great smell. This lotion has a moisturizing but light consistency. For day, even in the winter, I don’t like using creams during the day as I don’t like the heavy feeling on my skin. I really like the texture and consistency of this. My one gripe is the hole that the product comes out of is too big. It’s impossible to get just the correct product out of it so I end up wasting some. If they fix that packaging issue I would absolutely repurchase as it’s a great product.
