LuxePineapple Mystery Box of Joy Unboxing

Today I am thrilled to bring you an unboxing from a new to me company LuxePineapple. I learned about the LuxePineapple Mystery Box of Joy on a Facebook page. You know as soon as I heard the magic words mystery box I was interested!  When I found out it was only $16 with free shipping I ordered it just as fast as my little fingers could enter my info!

So what is LuxePineapple The main product is their Boxes of Joy but they also have a shop so you can purchase products.  The Box of Joy are non-subscription boxes that are available in limited quantities and while supplies last.  They also release mystery boxes from time to time.  They offer free shipping within the Continental U.S. I will tell you in the two boxes I have ordered they ship very fast!

Now I’ve been around long enough to be skeptical of any company that sells name brand products for lower prices.  The biggest concern is that they are fake!  Per LuxePineapple’s website their items come from “Manufacturers liquidate overstocks, discontinued items, excess tester or “old” packaging after a packaging update… We DO NOT buy shelf pull items, we DO NOT buy product from China, we do not buy “fake” products”  As far as discontinued products go, I personally am fine with them as long as they are in brand new condition and still have life left in them.  That doesn’t mean I want an entire box of discontinued items but I’m fine with having some!

OK are you ready to see what I got???

First Look – it came wrapped with a pretty ribbon too!
On top was this little card!
Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Skybox. Value $28 on Sephora Website. Includes three coordinated colors.  Sky – matte soft blue, Nocturnal – deep navy with cobalt blue pearl. Steel -mid-tone silver blue with silver Pearl. So yeah- I totally love this!  I was totally looking at the Smashbox Trios at Ulta the other week but I didn’t want to pay $28 for one.  Eventhough blue is not typically an eyeshadow color I would use, this one leans very silver grey in real life so I will totally use it! This shadow itself more than pays for the whole box!
Matte
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish.  Value $20 Sephora.   Color is Lionfish a deep bronze sheen. Yay Stila!  I love Stila products.  I know I complain about getting a lot of eyeliner in boxes but I actually don’t have a color quite like this.  I like that it’s not a standard boring black or brown but also a totally wearable color for work!
MAC Blushette in Barbara Ann.  Value $15 estimated.   This little blusher comes from a special MAC release several years ago.  It’s discontinued and I looked it over and it’s still brand new and looks fine to me.  I don’t wear blush so I won’t use this but I know someone who will be thrilled to get it as a gift!
Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.  Value $21 at Beauty.com  This eye primer is enriched with quercetin and oak extracts. There is also a apricot undertone to help correct darkness and imperfections on the eyelid and eye area.  I am a faithful user of Urban Decay eyeshadow primer but I’m willing to give this a try!

Number 4 High Performance Hair Care Super Comb Prep & Protect. Value $6.88 from Birchbox. I’ve received this brand before in Birchbox and it’s pretty good. This is a hydrating leave-in conditioner mist that protects hair from heat damage and is a color protector.  This is great as I have color treated hair and I use a blow dryer in the winter so I can definitely use this.

I calculate a value of over $90 for this box and I only paid $16!  I’m so impressed with this box, even if I purchased a lot of this on sale it would still have a value well over what I paid.  I am confident that nothing in this box was fake and most of it was still current items for sale at major retailers!  I cannot wait to see what other boxes they release!

I am also very excited to bring you a coupon code for your purchase at LuxePineapple.  Use code LITTLEBOXBLOG to save 30% off any available inventory with a $15 minimum purchase.  This even works on the Box of Joy!  This code is only available until January 27th so make sure to use it soon!

And the last time I check this Parisian Beauty & Belle of the Ball Bourjois Box of Joy was still available.  This box is only $25 or only $17.50 with the 30% off coupon!  It’s a great deal and I already picked one up! 🙂
