Yuzen Spring 2014 Unboxing

Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that brings you eco-conscious products to nourish the body and soul.  You can really tell that care is taken to pick each item and the info card even has a section to tell you why they picked each item.  Let’s see what I got!

First Look

Acure Organics Lip Lush Daaang.  Value $7.99. I love Acure Organics products but this lip gloss may be a little too sparkly for me!  This contains argan oil and echinacea stems cells. I think this is really pretty but not sure if I will keep it or not.
Chocolove Toffee & Almonds in Milk Chocolate Bar. 1.3oz. Value $1.42. Yum this Belgian milk chocolate bar sounds delicious. I love both toffee and almonds so I can’t wait to try this!  I really like that Yuzen always gives us a little something to eat but it’s never like a big bag of chocolate which I don’t need to eat all of – but I will!  Lol
Co-Pur Hand Balm in Lavender Lime. Value $8. This hand balm is actually not as greasy as I thought it would be. This actually is the perfect product to throw in my purse as a hand balm and a cuticle balm!  It smells pretty much like lavender to me.   I love the ingredients in this are just coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, lavender oil, and lime oil.

Innersense Organic Beauty Pure Harmony Hairbath and Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner.  Value $4.  These are pretty small bottles but I should get 2 or 3 uses out of them as I have short hair.  These hair products are sulfate free and full of plant ingredients that leave hair healthy and hydrated.  I’ll gladly give these a try!

Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed 24 Hour Natural Deodorant.  Value $6.99.  I will admit natural deodorant scares me.  I’m just afraid it won’t work!  Most natural deodorants don’t come in stick form so this one is unique.  This one also smells really good.  It is made with Arabian honey which has moisturizing and antibacterial properties.  It also contains black seed oil, non-GMO glycols derived from corn and organic shea butter ethically sourced from women’s co-ops in Northern Ghana.  I think this sounds great and I’m definitely gonna give it a try, just maybe not on a really hot day!

Spa Ritual Nail Lacquer.  Value $4.  I’m not sure but I think this color may be Airhead per the Spa Ritual website but it’s definitely pink!  I’ve received Spa Ritual nail polish before from Yuzen and I think it works quite well.  My Dad recently built me a second nail polish shelf (my first one only held 100 🙂 ) so now I have plenty of room for more nail polish!

Spa Technologies Micro Pearl Dermabrasion.  Value $5.29.  This seaweed based cream contains tiny pearl crystals to exfoliate your skin.  This actually smells pretty good.  I think I may try this as a body scrub though as I have quite a few face scrubs I’m using right  now.

Yurrku Australia Utopia Hand Cream.  Value $14.12  This eye cream is made in Australia.  It contains nectars and superfruits native to Australia.  I can always use eye cream so will give this a try!

I calculate a value of $51.81 for this box and I paid $33.  I think Yuzen is always thoughtfully curated with great natural products.  I have found several items that I love from these boxes and can’t wait to see what I get each quarter!
