This is the second month I’ve subscribed to Boxycharm and I really liked last month so I was excited to see what February would bring. Let’s see what I got.
Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush. Value $15. The design of this brush really reminds me of the cheap $1 ELF brushes I get at Target! This is certainly a bit higher quality than the ELF brushes. I used this a couple of times and found it rather stiff, but hopefully it will loosen up a bit. It is meant to be a crease brush so it should somewhat stiff. I can always use makeup brushes so I’m happy with this.
Mullein & Sparrow Mini Facial Mask – Deluxe size. Value $15. When I saw pictures of this I thought it would be a much larger but it’s quite a small jar. This is a powder of clays mixed with aromatic herbs. You should mix the clay with water before applying to your face. I will give this a try and am curious if it will dry out my skin like some clay masks do.
NCLA Nail Lacquer in Heart Attack. Value $16. I love nail polish and this one is super cute. It’s full of little pink and red hearts. I was surprised when I tried it that it was hard to get the hearts out of the bottle. I think there is too much polish to hearts ratio, so I may actually try to drain a little out before I use this.
Jing Ai Velvet Shine Lip Jewel. Value $22. This is a very bright color and not me at all! It is made with macadamia seed oil, shea butter and jojoba seed oil. I will probably give this away.
Mistura Beauty Solutions C-2-P Complexion Corrector. Value $29.51. This is a cream to powder corrector that contains coconut oil and shea butter. This is supposed to be good for all skin tones but it looks a little dark for me. Something about these concealers in tubes like this seems cheap to me.
I calculate a value of $97.51 for this box and I only paid $21. I think that is a good value and I will use 3 of the items. However the concealer and lip product I don’t like at all. I really wasn’t all that excited for the box this month. Hopefully next month will be better!
