I used to subscribe to Ipsy when I first got into subscription boxes. I cancelled over a year ago as I got a lot of drugstore and cheap products I never used. I’ve checked out reviews and to me the products have been improving so I decided to resubscribe.
If you are not familiar with Ipsy Glam Bag it’s a monthly bag of deluxe sample and full size beauty items. The company was started by makeup guru Michelle Phan. One of the big benefits of Ipsy is it’s cheap only $10 a month. Let’s see what I got!
Ipsy has never had a product card but they do show your products on their website.
It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil. Value $12 I really like It Cosmetics and I do regularly use a brow pencil. I’m not quite sure how this works but it says it works for every hair color even grey. It looks brown to me which should work nicely as I have brown hair. I also love that this has a brush end and it’s a nice large sample, half the full size.
Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish in 4 Alarm Fire
Value $12. I’m not sure if this is a full size bottle but it’s good size. This is a very pretty red polish without being too loud. It’s supposed to be shiny like a gel polish and last up to two weeks but you don’t need a to use a UV lamp. I’ll try this out soon.
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer. .25oz. Value $8. I love Smashbox and I use a foundation primer every day. This is supposed to be a good one with a silky finish. I will try this out soon!
Altchek MD Depuff Eye Pads. Value $4. So first off I’m thrilled to get two sets of these eye pads to try out. I have never heard of this brand but was surprised to see the patches were made in Korea. You know I love my K-beauty and I tried these out and found they were comparable to other eye patches I’ve tried. At $2 a pair they are reasonably priced. They reminded me a bit of a thinner Skyn Iceland patch as one side was gel and one side was fuzzy. They stuck to my eyes quite well too!
Trestique Mini Shadow Crayon in Kona Coffee. Value $5. This is probably the only thing in here that I won’t use. It’s a nice color but I typically don’t use shadow crayons like this. I did find it odd that this didn’t come with a lid. At first I thought I lost it but I saw others without a lid so I may not have had one.
Ipsy always comes with a makeup bag. I just gave a ton of these away to my mom for a garage sale so I can build up my supply again. I do use them for different things for time to time but they are also great for gifts.
I calculate a value of $41 and I only paid $10 for this bag. This is a great deal and I’m happy to be resubscribe to Ipsy again!
