Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream Review

This product was received for free for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

I am a huge fan of TATCHA products so when I was offered the chance to review their new Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery cream before its launch I was thrilled!  I love their indigo body products and the fact that they are now releasing products for the face is very exciting.  Let’s take a look!
First Look – as always a lovely box presentation from TATCHA.

Details –

Company – If you aren’t familiar with TATCHA they are a U.S. based company with products created in and inspired by Japan. They use some great ingredients and offer free shipping in the U.S.  I’ve dealt with customer service and they are great plus super fast shipping. Their products are not cheap but in my experience quite concentrated so last quite a while.
Product – the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream is an anti-aging face cream for sensitive skin. It’s safe for skin even irritated by eczema and dermatitis. It contains indigo and soothing 3% colloidal oatmeal.
Availability and Cost. This 50ml tub will cost $135 and will be available on TATCHA.com and select Barneys locations on July 9th.
Look at this lovely note they sent me and on embossed paper – so fancy!

Ingredients. The first thing I always do is check out the ingredients list. First one water is no big surprise but I was unfamiliar with the second ingredient squalane and was disappointed to find out it’s made from olives. Since my face is highly irritated and breaks out from olive oil I was worried. But I am a beauty blogger so of course I forged ahead to test this out – breakout be damned!  Lol.
There are some other nice ingredients like extracts of rice, green tea, silk and red algae.
Without some bad things – great!!

The product itself a gorgeous blue color. It also has a very light scent. I can really describe it but it doesn’t smell bad.
This is definitely a cream consistency but it is a light cream.

Review –

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now so have given it a really good try. It did irritate my skin a bit, I think it’s due to the olive, and it was a bit rich to use all over my skin in the summer. I have been using it on my cheeks and nose mostly as those actually can get a bit dry even in the summer. But mostly I have been using this on my neck (it only is my face that has the olive oil reaction). My neck feels so soft and fabulous so I can safely say that that this is a great product.
I wish this product didn’t have the olive derived product in it just due to my personal allergy but if you don’t have those allergies I would highly recommend it. But let me remind you to always check the ingredients and don’t use it if you have any items you know irritate your skin. I will use things I know I will likely react sometimes so I can review them but I know it’s not great for my skin!
TATCHA also has some other fab products.  Here are some products I purchased recently. I got another tub of my favorite indigo soothing silk body butter. I also got some blotting sheets that I’ve wanted to try for a long time. These are great, they are huge and soak up so much oil off my face. I grabbed a little travel size dewy skin mist which is nice a refreshing for summer. Of course you always get to pick 3 samples too!  See that travel side indigo soothing silk body butter?  Look for that to be in a giveaway soon!

Overall I’m really excited that TATCHA is adding to their indigo line and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
