If you have followed my blog for a while you know one of my favorite companies is LuxePineapple. Several months ago they announced they wanted to do some collaboration boxes with their fans and allowed us to submit ideas for our own Boxes of Joy. I submitted my idea and was shocked when I was one of the ones selected!
This collaborative process was so much fun and amazing. I was involved in every step of the decision making process and had tons of communication with the owner and founder of LuxePineapple the Pineapple Queen Liz! I even selected the names of a couple of products.
My theme was a full face look that is neutral but not boring. I work in the conservative accounting profession so I can’t get too crazy with my everyday makeup but I don’t want to wear boring brown everyday! We focused on purples and pinks which are my favorite colors to use for a neutral and fun makeup look.
So are you ready to see what’s in my box?!?! Keep reading to the end too as you will have a chance to win this box!
This box was received free for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
First Look – that’s right, count ’em 6 items!!
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in No Pressure. .11oz. Deluxe Sample. Value $10. This is a rich fawn color and is perfect to use as a primer for eyeshadow. I am a big fan of Benefit so when Liz told me we could get this for my box I was thrilled. Typically I’m not a huge cream shadow fan for the summer as it can crease but this one works really well. This is a great color that not only looks good as a primer but you could wear this on its own too!
LuxePinneaple Baked Shadow Trio. Seattle. FULL SIZE. Value $15. So I totally knew that LuxePineapple was releasing its own line of shadows before they released them and I was super excited. When Liz sent me some swatch photos I thought they were Laura Geller they were so gorgeous but I think these are even better! I selected this trio to be an exclusive in my box as these colors could not be more perfect. There is a darker shimmery purple which I love to use in the outer crease as an accent color. Also a gorgeous light pink which can be a base or highlight color. And this magenta – love! There are just so many ways you could use these three colors for a neutral look but still have a fun pop of color! I’m so excited and this is a really nice large shadow too. Some trios are so small it’s hard to keep the colors separate but that is not the case with this one. I even got to choose the name of this, keeping with the city themed names of the baked shadows I picked Seattle after one of my favorite cities!
Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint Deluxe Sample. Deep Berry. Value $12. Although I am a big fan of Tarte I was hesitant to include a cheek tint as my blush option as I just don’t use them much. I have started to come around to liquid blushes, especially for the summer, so I’m happy to have this in here. I will say that a little of this goes a long way. I won’t lie I was super nervous when I first saw how deep this color was but it blended out nicely and I am quite happy with the resulting color! If you don’t want to use this as a cheek tint I think you could easily use it for a lip tint as well. There was also another color available light nectar.
LuxePineapple Kohl Eyeliner. FULL SIZE. Violet. Value $13. I also knew they were releasing these before they were released! I felt so special lol. Anyhow this is my favorite color of eyeliner as black is a little too harsh for my face. A good dark purple can resemble black or grey on but still give a bit of a softer color on the eye. You can also tell it’s purple in the right light. This one is great!
LuxePineapple Nude Lipliner. FULL SIZE. Value $13. I typically don’t wear lipliners as I wear more gloss than lipstick and honestly I’m just too lazy to apply it lol. However I think it’s important to include one in here and this nude is perfect to go with many lip colors. Now we just need a gloss to go with this!
LuxePineapple Lipgloss in Radiant. FULL SIZE. Value $15. I have several LuxePineapple lip glosses and have been very impressed with their formula. They are somewhat similar to NARS. They are not sticky or smelly! I picked this exclusive color for my box as its a neutral but sparkly pink. I love a sparkly lip and this is perfect. I picked the name Radiant as I think it describes the color and keeps with the theme of LuxePineapple previous lipgloss names. I think this is my favorite thing in here.
Here is the look I created with my box! Keep in mind I am in no way a makeup artist or talented in applying makeup so I’m sure all of you could do much better!
This box has an amazing value of $78 and only costs $24.50 plus you get a free $15 gift (hint its a nail polish). I’m so happy with this box as it’s completely my vision for this box and better. I hope you guys love it too!
