Love with Food August Tasting Box Unboxing

I’ve been changing up some of my subs lately and one sub that I decided to resubscribe to is Love with Food. I used to subscribe to Love with Food before I was a blogger but I cancelled when I wasn’t eating a lot of the snacks. I’ve been seeing some great reviews lately that made me want to try it again!

If you are not familiar with Love with Food  it is a monthly box that helps you discover new organic or all natural snacks.  They have revamped since I last subscribed and now there are several boxes to chose from. I chose the Tasting box which starts at $7.99 for 8+ snacks for an annual sub (it’s a little more for shorter subs). There is also a deluxe box starting at $16.50 for 16-20 snacks and a gluten-free box starting at $19.99 for 8-12 snacks. Snacks are either organic or all-natural, GMO-free, gluten-free or free of artificial junk. The one fantastic thing about them is they donate a meal to hungry children in America for each box sold (some boxes they donate 2)!
Let’s see what I got!
First Look

Product Card – this month’s theme is Road Trip.

Popcorn By 479Degrees. I’ve had popcorn from this brand before and it’s quite tasty.   It is a softer type of popcorn instead of crunchy. I prefer soft popcorn myself and I actually like it better the next day after popping when it’s a bit stale. I know I’m weird! 🙂 Anyhow this was the first thing I ate out of the box and it was delicious. Just cheesy enough and you could definitely taste the Asiago.

Apple Hard Candy by Goorganic. Ooh I’m a bit crazy for hard candy and these are perfect for me. I love that we got an entire bag of these!  These little apple candies are delicious and addicting!  They are individually wrapped which I love so you can grab a couple at a time. They taste like a sweet applesauce to me. The ingredients are not bad either just organic evaporate cane sugar, organic brown rice syrup, citric acid and natural apple flavor. I may have to get some more of these.

Peanut Butter by Wild Friends. I love nut butters but I admit that I’m not all that excited about this particular type- sesame seed cranberry peanut butter.  I just don’t know. I tried to give this to my mom but she didn’t seem too excited about the flavor either. I will at least try a bite or maybe I’ll take it to work and I know someone will eat it there – they eat anything! 🙂

Roasted Broad Beans by Enlightened.  These look interesting. I had to look up what a broad bean is and turns out it’s also know as a fava bean. I don’t know if I’ve ever had this type of bean before but I am definitely intrigued.

Popped Salted Caramel Kind Healthy Grqins Bar.   Yum I love Kind bars and this new flavor sounds really good!  I like these bars as they are substantial so I can eat one for a snack and will keep me from getting hungry for quite a while. These also don’t have quite as much sugar as most granola bars so this is a nice alternative.

Original Naan Crisps by Stonefire.  I really like naan bread so had high hopes for these crisps. Unfortunately I found these just way too salty.

Lemon Rooibos Iced Herbal Tea by Stash Tea.   I like Stash Tea but I have never tried these little instant tea packs. I do like the convenience of this and can easily make iced tea on the go or at work.

Fruity Pie. This looks pretty gross but if it tastes like apricot and almond that shouldn’t be bad at all. I’ll give this a try and see what I think.

I’m really happy with this box and I will eat almost everything in it!  I didn’t do a cost breakdown of this box but I know it’s more than I paid. I got a 40% off deal so I paid $5.99. I have resubscribed for a 3 month sub and can’t wait to see what next month brings.
