This Week in Masks -10/11

Here are the masks I used this week!

Leaders Brightening Recovery Box. From Memebox Leaders set which was a really great deal. I love Leaders masks as the gel made out of fermented coconut really sticks to your face. This one was a lot wetter than most of the Leaders masks (the essence is in the gel so these are not wet like most cotton masks). But it did work well and left my skin looking less red.

Freeset Donkey Milk Aqua Mask. I got this mask from Mask Genie. My skin felt a bit dry this week so I wanted to used a moisturizing mask.  This one was very nice and definitely left my skin feeling hydrated. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of donkey milk as an ingredient as I just don’t see a big change in my skin from other moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, but it doesn’t irritate my skin either.

Dr Jart Clearing Solution Mask. I got this mask in my Birchbox this month- yay for Korean products in Birchbox!  I have used Dr Jart products before and I really like them but have not used a mask. I wanted to use this right away as my skin has been irritated so the fact that it had tea tree as a main ingredient I knew it would be soothing to my skin.  This had a ton of essence on it. That would have been OK except the cotton sheet mask itself was not heavy enough to hold the essence and it dripped all down my neck and chest- yuck!  If I used this masks again I would probably squeeze out some essence before I used it.

Passport 2 Beauty Gold Radiance Luxury Mask. I got this masks from my Fab Fit Fun box and honestly I’ve put off trying it since it’s made in China. Just because it’s made their doesn’t mean they are bad but I don’t trust the manufacturing standards completely over there. Anyhow I tried this out and it’s a gel mask with gold in it.  It has a ton of essence way too much. I immediately disliked the packaging because inside the mask pouch the mask was wrapped in a ton of cellophane paper. It was a major pain in the ass to get the paper off without tearing or dropping the slippery mask.  The mask was incredibly slippery. I stuck it on my face and it slid right off. I had to lay flat on my back and not move to get it to stay in place.  The scent is very strongly of rose.  I took it off after the recommended 20 minutes and my face was dry and dehydrated. This was odd and I had to put a lot of moisturizer on. My face was soft but I really didn’t care for this mask at all.
Why all the cellophane?

SNP Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patches. I got these in a trade. I have tried birds nest masks before but never eye patches.  I thought these were pretty good. Not smelly and has a good shape for my eyes. They were moisturizing and soothing to my eyes which I like in an eye mask.

That’s it for this week. What masks did you use this week?!?!
